Acceptance

By accessing or using CausalTree, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The service

CausalTree helps you build and explore scenario models (including causal graphs and Bayesian inference) based on your prompts and inputs. Outputs are probabilistic estimates and may be incorrect.

CausalTree is not a substitute for professional advice, including financial, legal, medical, or safety advice. You are responsible for how you use the service and any decisions you make.

Accounts

  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
  • You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
  • You must not share access in a way that violates applicable law or these Terms.

Plans, limits, and enforcement

We may offer Free and paid (“Pro”) plans. Plan limits (for example, scenario counts, node caps, and iteration limits) are enforced server-side and may differ by plan. Some interactions may run in preview mode and may not be saved (for example, when working with shared/public scenarios).

We may change plan limits over time. Where practical, we will reflect current limits in the product UI.

Subscriptions and billing

If you subscribe to Pro, you authorize recurring charges through our payment processor (Stripe) until you cancel. Your subscription details, pricing, taxes, and renewal terms are shown at checkout and/or in the customer portal.

If a payment fails or your subscription ends, Pro access may be removed immediately and your account may revert to Free.

Your content

You retain ownership of the content you submit (such as hypotheses and scenario notes). You grant us a license to host, process, and display your content solely to provide and improve the service.

Acceptable use

  • Do not attempt to interfere with or disrupt the service or security features.
  • Do not use the service for illegal activities or to violate others’ rights.
  • Do not attempt to reverse engineer or misuse model/provider access.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the service if you violate these Terms or if needed for security, operational, or legal reasons. You may stop using the service at any time.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CAUSALTREE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL.
